Our Services:
Touching the Nations offers assistance for individuals that are Deaf and Hard-of Hearing. For example, if the client needs help in getting into an apartment, we will walk with them from beginning to end (application process, making sure the apartment has proper equipment for the Deaf, such as a door knocker).
Other example services offered include:
- Offering American Sign Language classes for churches, individuals, businesses, and other agencies.
- Assisting churches with establishing Deaf Ministries.
- Workshops and conferences - we travel in state and out of state to facilitate these services.
- Sign-to-music classes.
- Working as advocates for the Deaf when necessary, helping to inform doctor’s offices, hospitals, etc. of the ADA laws regarding providing interpreters for their patients.
- Interpreting services, for events such as musical concerts, church services, job interviews, and doctor’s visits (with a state-certifed interpreter).
- Interpreter coordination for individuals needing interpreters for their large or small conference, revival, or other meeting.
